Low Disk Space Warning in Windows

With the computer technology being widely used and developed, most users have met low disk space warning in Windows (see the picture below). This notification means C drive is running out of space.

Maybe, some users’ first response is to delete some unnecessary files to release more free space. It is indeed a method to fix this problem, but it cannot solve the root of cause. And users will find the hard drive is running out of space again soon. In fact, the direct and effective way to solve this problem is to extend the system partition.

Ways to Fix the Low Disk Space Warning in Windows

Users can extend partition to maximize the performance of their computers. However, how to increase the local drive space size? To be honest, third-party software can help users to extend partition, and some Windows (such as Windows 7/8, and Windows Server 2003) offer disk management tool to resize partition. But, computer management would only perfectly start this feature with certain conditions. To be specific, the partition which needs changing is NTFS partition, and there is unallocated space on the right side of the target partition users would like to extend. Since disk management has great limitations, users had better turn to partition magic.

If users want to solve the low disk space warning in Windows by using partition management software, they should select a piece of software equipped with high security because they are unwilling to lose data. MiniTool Partition Wizard can help users to easily resize partition without bringing any damage to the original data. And before changing partition size, users should download it, and then install it on computer. After that, run it to get its main interface like this.

In this main interface, select the target system partition which needs extending and click “Extend Partition” button from action panel to get its operating interface. At this time, choose an existing partition (cannot be itself) or unallocated space to take free space, and drag the sliding button to a desirable place to determine how much free space to take. After getting desired partition size, users have to click “Apply” button on the left to execute all changes. Thus, the problem of low disk space warning in Windows has been solved.
