Low Disk Space in Windows Boot Drive

Situation: My computer’s operation system is Windows Server 2008. When I ran it several days ago, a prompt message caught my attention: “You are running out of disk space on system (C:). To free space on this drive by deleting old or unnecessary files, click here…”

Then I meant to resize the boot drive (boot drive and system drive are stayed in a partition) in Windows built in disk management tool. However, there isn’t any unallocated space right behind the specified partition. Could you tell me a way to solve problem of low disk space in Windows boot drive?

Actually, there is a crucial limitation in Windows snap-in disk management tool: the function – “Extend Volume” – can only work under the circumstance where there is unallocated space right after the partition we want to extend. However, there is no need to worry. Professional third party partition magic can surpass the defect. And this kind of partition manager will bring you get out of the trouble. MiniTool Partition Wizard is an outstanding one among this kind of software. What’s more, in this program, rebooting is not a necessary step when resizing boot partition. It also means that data loss will be avoided.
